Krav Maga is a system developed by the Israel Defense Forces that focuses on real-world situations and emphasizes threat neutralization and simultaneous offensive and defensive moves. In other words - it teaches you to take care of yourself (and loved ones).
Alpha Krav Maga is a new breed of Israeli Self-Defense, fighting and fitness. And there is a new gym in town.
Lead by Master George Buruian, this new facility brings an elite program and instructors to stay safe, get fit, and connect with strong students and athletes. The Alpha team is comprised of a diverse set of professionals with a particular set of skills from law enforcement officers, SWAT team members, and firearms instructors that engage in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, and wrestling for fun.

Master George Buruian is considered one of the original Krav Maga instructors of Illinois bringing Krav Maga to the area in 2002 but started his career in traditional martial arts. Master George began boxing as young as 6 yrs old and started his path in martial arts in Tae Kwon Do in Romania. Master George was a member of the Romanian National Tae Kwon Do Team for several years before eventually becoming a coach of the Romanian Olympic Team from 1997-2000. He was also a professional MMA fighter in Eastern Europe from 1994-1997 with a record of 37-3 (W-L).
Since 2002, Master George has taught several law enforcement and military units all over the country. In this same period of time, Master George has also trained professional athletes.
